Leo parents have a tendency to spoil their children but, curiously, can also be strict disciplinarians. Like the Lion which symbolises their sign, they romp happily with their youngsters, but if a child steps out of line, the Lion roars.

Leo mother is adept at balancing a career with bringing up a family. Her children are much loved and beautifully dressed. She may find it hard to spot their faults, but when she does she takes them to task in no uncertain terms. She dislikes being taken for granted by her children and shows her annoyance if they do so.

Leo men make wonderful fathers who indulge their offspring. The youngsters, while respecting Dad, usually know how to twist him round their little fingers. Leo father seldom has more than one or two children and is frequently separated from them for reasons which are not necessarily his choice.

Leo parents are generous with their love – both physically and emotionally – and with more material things, too. They like their own creature comforts and want their youngsters to have them as well. They appreciate their children’s talents and abilities and encourage them to develop and utilise them. They are enormously proud of their offspring and have a tendency to expect more of them than is realistic. They also have a habit of encouraging them to show off their talents in front of other people. Being the kings and queens of the jungle themselves, they assume that their cubs are the little princes and princesses.
