Scorpio parents often appear autocratic and over-demanding of their children. In fact, it is simply that they expect the best of them, and want the best for them. Because they have total faith in their own opinions, they have no qualms in laying down the law. Being independent and well-ordered themselves, and despite loving their children with an intense passion, they still expect them to stand on their own two feet.

Scorpio father tends to be strict and to have a strong set of values which he passes on to his children. He will stand up for them, but would prefer them to stand up for themselves. The rules he lays down are not to be broken. He enjoys playing with his offspring and is quite prepared to indulge in a bit of fun and games, but there is never any question about who is in charge.

Scorpio mother does not openly express her devotion to her children, but they sense it, nonetheless. She encourages them to develop their natural talents and to be ambitious. She believes in them totally and may refuse to hear anything against them, sometimes even from their father. Scorpio parents’ desire to understand everything about their youngsters sometimes means that they fail to allow them sufficient space to be themselves. Ideally, they would like them to think and act as they do. They may overdo the discipline, but only because they are convinced it is in their children’s interest to do so.
